Product Manager – Workforce Skills, North America
As a Product Manager for Workforce Skills (GED, Accelerated Pathways, Credly, and more) you will be responsible for ensuring that we meet the needs of key customers including learners, universities, and employers in domestic and international markets.

What you'll do here
  • Bring data, take action, and help Pearson Workforce Skills deliver on the promise of learning for life
  • Align to, track, and communicate progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs); Support development and progress on a detailed project schedule and work plan.
  • Engage with Pearson’s and Credly’s network of the world’s leading brands to connect credentials to credit for prior learning.
  • Support collaboration and cohesion with customers and other workforce product teams to ensure industry-defining software is built and delivered
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Distill suggestions and requests into specific problems we can solve.
  • Work alongside the leadership to shape the strategy.
  • Energize our customers, users, and team members through interviews and communications.
  • Have a relentless focus on a delightful user experience and on solving for our customer’s most important needs.
  • Demonstrate ongoing curiosity about and stay close to the talent and learning ecosystem in which we operate.

What you know, have done, or can do (must haves)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience with driving revenue in a product management role
  • Strong relationship management skills, and preferred experience with universities and credentiallers
  • Data-driven mindset; superior written and verbal communication skills; exemplary resourcefulness.
  • Strong familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Big picture thinker capable of executing on the day-to-day details and tasks.
  • Proven process manager and facilitator of prioritization discussions.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Previous success in developing and delivering digital solutions to meet customer needs
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines.
  • Experience working with in-house platforms for reporting purposes
  • Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members’ capabilities and skill sets.

What you may know and have done (nice to haves)
  • Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
  • Software as a Service (SaaS) product management experience.
  • Technical background capable of holding a conversation with developers.
  • Financial modeling to build product and vision use-cases.
  • Relevant credentials in project management, data analysis, product management, etc.
  • Experience in learning and credentialing.
  • Experience in credit for prior learning programs or corporate learning and development programs.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. As required by the Colorado and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
Minimum full-time salary range is between $75,000 - $85,000.
