About the Role:
zyBooks is looking for a Product Manager to join our Platform team. In this role, you'll work with engineering teams to prioritize platform roadmaps, gather requirements from stakeholders, and drive the delivery of platform capabilities and learning tools that enable product innovation. You'll collaborate across the organization to understand needs, translate them into clear requirements and user stories, and facilitate agile development processes. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering, design, content, and other teams to deliver platform features and capabilities.
- Contribute to the definition of priorities, roadmap, and product requirements with guidance from senior product leaders and stakeholders.
- Lead feature development efforts by gathering requirements, writing user stories, and working closely with engineering teams through design, build, and delivery.
- Support agile development processes including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Gain understanding of customer needs by participating in user research and gathering feedback from internal stakeholders.
- Track and communicate progress on platform features to stakeholders, maintaining transparency on timelines and deliverables.
- Monitor feature-level metrics and KPIs to understand impact and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to product documentation, process improvements, and team knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years experience in product management, SAAS product development, software engineering, or related technical roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate technical concepts for various audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to both details and broader context.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and consistently deliver on commitments.
- Collaborative mindset with demonstrated ability to work effectively with engineering teams.
- Experience with agile development processes.
- Experience with product management tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar).
- Passion for educational technology and making a positive impact on student learning.
- Occasional travel may be required for team meetings or company events.

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the United Kingdom, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
