The Product Manager, Platform, is responsible for the end-to-end strategy, development, and evolution of Imagine Learning’s centralized platform for provisioning, rostering, authentication, assessment integrations, and organizational management. The platform serves as the foundational layer that connects products, customers, data systems, reporting, and access services across the Imagine Learning ecosystem, enabling scalable, efficient, and consistent development of customer-facing solutions. This role blends platform product leadership with an AI-native mindset—leveraging emerging AI technologies to accelerate discovery, delivery, and platform innovation.

Position Information: This is a regular, full-time position, reporting to the Product Management Director.
Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $97,036 and $123,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.
Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote.
Travel: You can also expect up to approximately 5% travel, so be sure you have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Envision Your Experience.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Product Strategy & Vision: Define and communicate a clear platform product vision and roadmap aligned with company goals and internal stakeholder needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal product teams, engineering, and operations to understand their requirements and translate them into platform capabilities.
- Technical Leadership: Work closely with engineering to make informed trade-offs, prioritize technical investments, and ensure platform scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Execution & Delivery: Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle—from ideation and requirements gathering to launch and iteration.
- Advocacy & Evangelism: Champion the platform across the organization, promoting adoption and best practices.
- Metrics & Optimization: Define success metrics, monitor usage, and continuously improve platform features based on feedback and data.
- Interoperability: Evolve rostering, SSO, and partner integrations using standards like OneRoster, SAML, and LTI to create a connected experience across products.
- LMS Integration: Drive integrations with LMSs like Canvas, Schoology, and Google Classroom, including deep linking, grade passback, and rostering.
- AI-Native Product Management: Operate as an AI-native product manager, using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Lovable, Replit, and other emerging AI development platforms to prototype concepts, generate PRDs, analyze data, simulate user flows, and accelerate discovery.
- Continuous AI Learning & Sharing: Stay current on AI models, tools, and trends, turn new capabilities into practical platform improvements, and share insights and best practices to help teams across the organization.
- Quarterly or as needed travel for team meetings
- Other duties as required.
Share Your Expertise.
Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:
- Bachelor's degree in education, business, technology, or a related field and at least 5 years of Product Management experience ideally with a focus on platform or infrastructure products; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the edtech industry highly preferred.
- Proven AI adoption experience.
- Experience with vibe coding tools: Figma Make, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Replit, v0, Lovable, Bolt, etc.
- Experience with K-12 interoperability standards and integrations (OneRoster, LTI 1.3/LTI Advantage, SAML, Clever, ClassLink) highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of software development, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and modern engineering practices.
- Experience with online project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, etc. in partnership with excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum and product discovery techniques/technology solutions.
- Data-driven, analytical thinker with the ability to identify and understand complex problems and formulate alternate solutions.
- Ability to build team cohesiveness, lead, influence, and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve challenging goals.
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills; self-directed to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
- Experience working on internal platforms or developer tools.
- Background in software engineering or computer science.
- Ability to cope with change, shift gears comfortably, and decide and act appropriately.
- Experience working, influencing, and networking within a matrix organization.
