About the Team: 

At Quizlet, the Product Operations team serves as a bridge between our users and the product development teams that ultimately helps teams do great, user centric work. Our core functions include managing our user reported bug pipeline, sharing trends in user sentiment to enable roadmap work, and supporting user facing teams all through a lens of scalability. There is a consistent collaboration with the other teams in User Operations, Product, Engineering, and Marketing.

About the Role: 

As an individual contributor on the Product Ops team, you are focused on delivering quality experiences to users through the development of scalable frameworks and processes that benefit many users and internal teams. You will understand your assigned product pairings deeply, and enable our Support team by applying your product expertise to product launches, user support needs, and bug triage. You'll partner with cross-functional product development teams by providing recommendations that you cultivate from analyzing user support trends and other data. 

As a team lead, you’ll be responsible for monitoring and tracking Product Ops key metrics and building team processes to improve them as well as jumping into complex organizational needs to create structure and frameworks that help internal stakeholders make more informed decisions about our product and users.

We are looking for someone who thrives on understanding their work deeply and building durable systems to optimize working processes. Your success is measured by your impact on Product Ops core metrics, your ability to streamline and generate systemic solutions to problems across wide groups of stakeholders, and your ability to support the goals of your partnering teams.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, and San Francisco office.

In this role, you will:

    • Stay up to speed on the priorities and coming product launches of your assigned product development teams
    • Provide data-driven insights and feedback to product development teams to support their goals, influence their direction and prioritize high-quality experiences
    • Be the primary subject matter expert for focused product area domains developing a deep understanding of how products work and where both issues and opportunities exist
    • Triage, file, and prioritize bugs for product development teams to address, connecting those teams to the ongoing issues that users are facing, and advocate for action to address the issues.
    • Develop scalable, usable and actionable documentation to promote understanding and clarity across teams
    • Roll up your sleeves and do what’s necessary to support your product areas when new issues or opportunities appear 
    • Project manage complex product launches within user facing teams with the goal of ensuring they have what they need to successfully support the changes with users and user impacting risks are mitigated
    • Build scalable support to complex organizational problems in partnership with cross functional team leads
    • Serve as a team lead within Product Ops who exemplifies our core values, monitors team performance and streamlines Product Ops working processes to maximize our team impact

What you bring to the table:

    • 8+ years of experience in an operations, product or data role
    • Experience with developing and executing on strategic communication plans with diverse audiences (both written and verbal)
    • Self-starter who is bold and perseveres through complexity
    • Strong personal organization systems that ensure high volumes of work are managed
    • Ability to create order and productivity in nebulous situations regardless of domain expertise 
    • Experience building strong working relationships with cross functional leaders 
    • Experience leading multiple complex efforts and stakeholders to achieve impactful work that drives outcomes 
    • Experience building scalable ways of working for multiple internal teams that increase efficiency, decision making and opportunity for users
    • Leverage data to make informed decisions in work operations and needs
    • Experience operating in a team lead capacity monitoring work processes, metrics and setting up team supports that drive improvements to quality and/or output

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $120,000 - $175,000, depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options
