The Professional Development Manager II plays a key role in designing, delivering, and managing high-impact professional learning experiences for K12 partners. This position collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders to create innovative training content across in-person and virtual environments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and partner needs. The role also oversees multiple professional development projects, serves as a liaison across stakeholders, and may provide guidance or supervision to junior team members. Ideal candidates bring strong teaching and leadership experience, expertise in adult learning, and the ability to manage complex initiatives that support educator growth and student success.

Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/ Essential Functions:
  • Complete all duties as assigned to the K12 Professional Development Manger I.
  • Partner, collaborate, and communicate with various internal and external contacts, or customers, to develop original professional learning experiences and content for K12 partners which further the interests of the educational development and special projects team as well as Grand Canyon Education and its partners.
  • Conduct and create professional development for in-person, synchronous virtual, and asynchronous virtual settings to support the overall function of the educational development and special projects team.
  • Meet with both internal and external professional development partners.
  • Manage the flow of activities and acts as liaison to all others involved in the professional development projects.
  • May act in a supervisory capacity, as needed to support the functions of the educational development and support team.
  • Responsible for managing multiple projects designed to provide professional learning to K12 educational partners
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience/ Education
  • Master’s degree in a related discipline (education, social science, etc.) from a regionally accredited institution.
  • 5 + years’ teaching and some educational leadership experience.
  • Documented experience in the development and facilitation of professional learning experiences.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background investigation.
