Job Summary of the Professional Education Manager
The Professional Education Manager is responsible for engaging internal and external parties in medical, clinical, and scientific activities that support the strategic direction of Axogen and Axogen products. The position provides a cross-functional leadership role and focuses on development and optimization of our external educational and training efforts. This position ensures adherence to federal, state and AATB requirements, and company and ethical standards. Travel requirements for this position will be 50-70% travel both nationally and internationally.
Requirements of the Professional Education Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in science, Education, Engineering, Business, and/or in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the medical device or health sciences industry.
- 3 years preferred experience working in a medical education role.
- Computer literacy; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willing to travel as necessary.
- Must reside near a major airport
Responsibilities of the Professional Education Manager
The specific duties of the Professional Education Manager include but are not limited to:
- Leads the strategic implementation and focused growth of educational and training courses.
- Develops curriculum, training programs and various educational resources requiring a high degree of clinical knowledge and the ability to interpret complex medical information and clinical evidence.
- Executes both large scale national education programs and regional/local events within budget.
- High degree of cross-functional collaboration with market development partners, commercial team, medical affairs, and others.
- Creates, monitors, and regularly reports on metrics and KPI’s for assigned educational activity.
- Facilitates the educational grants and sponsorships process by working directly with external applicants and internal compliance/medical affairs partners.
- Collaborates with and coaches field sales representatives in determining appropriate use of educational resources.
- Identifies, manages, and maintains relationships with key opinion leaders and brand advocates.
- Develops program faculty including, but not limited to, initial onboarding, speaker training and assisting with the development of presentation material.
- Serves as a course instructor for assigned medical and professional training activities.
- Serves as technical advisor for Axogen key technologies and products.
- Provides training and technical support to various customers on Axogen products as it relates to therapeutic indications, current clinical trends, and scientific publications.
- Drafts and maintains relevant standard operating procedures for required activities.

This position is eligible for an annual bonus.

Salary Range
$110,585 - $138,231 USD
Axogen follows healthcare system guidelines with respect to credentialing, vaccinations and other employment/compliance related requirements, as well as CDC guidance. Axogen reserves the right to amend its policies from time to time in its sole discretion.
