Essential Job Functions

The Professional Learning Instructional Designer responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Design and develop learning experiences across various delivery modes, including in-person training, virtual sessions, e-learning modules, hybrid learning as well as on the job experiences
Design and develop innovative learning content (e.g., infographics, multimedia, games, etc.)
Facilitate learning sessions in-person, virtually and hybrid variations
Act as an administrator and user solution support for Learning Management System
Develop and execute evaluation processes to track impact
Utilize data analysis to determine programmatic improvements
Analyze learner needs using instructional design best practices
Write scripts for and create video and audio content
Collaboratively strategize and plan for future programmatic growth and excellence
Remain current on best practices in instructional design
Collaborate with other departments and teams as needed
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education (Required)

Bachelor’s degree from unaccredited college in a related field of study or the Equivalent of Education and Experience

Skills and Experience (Required)

Three years of experience designing learning for organizations
Demonstrated experience applying innovative approaches to instructional design and adult learning
Highly skilled in facilitating virtual and in-person learning experiences in a clear and engaging manner
Active learning design and facilitation experience
Exceptional writing and verbal skills
Ability to use a range of technology and tools, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, video and editing software and course authoring tools
Exceptional ability to leverage the Learning Management System to benefit the organization and all users.
Excellent graphic design skills
Superior organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with moderate supervision in a fast-paced complex environment
Ability to plan and participate in highly collaborative projects
Highly customer service oriented
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Completion of a skills assessment
