Essential Job Functions
The Professional Learning Instructional Designer responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Design and develop learning experiences across various delivery modes, including in-person training, virtual sessions, e-learning modules, hybrid learning as well as on the job experiences 
  • Design and develop innovative learning content (e.g., infographics, multimedia, games, etc.)
  • Facilitate learning sessions in-person, virtually and hybrid variations
  • Act as an administrator and user solution support for Learning Management System
  • Develop and execute evaluation processes to track impact
  • Utilize data analysis to determine programmatic improvements
  • Analyze learner needs using instructional design best practices 
  • Write scripts for and create video and audio content
  • Collaboratively strategize and plan for future programmatic growth and excellence
  • Remain current on best practices in instructional design
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams as needed
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree from unaccredited college in a related field of study or the Equivalent of Education and Experience

Skills and Experience (Required)
  • Three years of experience designing learning for organizations
  • Demonstrated experience applying innovative approaches to instructional design and adult learning
  • Highly skilled in facilitating virtual and in-person learning experiences in a clear and engaging manner
  • Active learning design and facilitation experience
  • Exceptional writing and verbal skills
  • Ability to use a range of technology and tools, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, video and editing software and course authoring tools
  • Exceptional ability to leverage the Learning Management System to benefit the organization and all users.
  • Excellent graphic design skills
  • Superior organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with moderate supervision in a fast-paced complex environment
  • Ability to plan and participate in highly collaborative projects
  • Highly customer service oriented
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Completion of a skills assessment
