Your role on the team: 

The PS Consultant 3 (ERP Implementation Consultant, Finance) is responsible for achieving a high satisfaction rating from clients by having a successful implementation of software solutions.  

This individual reports directly to the Services Delivery Manager in the Client Services Organization and will work with client accounting and finance teams. The ERP Consultant, Finance will be responsible for working to understand and update General Ledger (GL) within ERP and perform business process and configurations activities for Budgeting. The consultant will need to deep dive into functional configurations as well as develop a deep understanding of complex data structures. This role is critical to scoping Professional Services requests and working urgent data issues as well as data updates with the assistance of our Data Management Team. Ensuring in each client configuration in how transactions are processed from all the operational areas to fees to the GL.  

This consultant will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements from various K-12 stakeholders, including administrators, staff and school leadership for clients’ financial configurations and reporting. They will work with the Finance and other Implementation Consultants to assist with configurations and analyze and solution data issues.  

Additional support of Payroll data structures and configurations will be part of the role.  
 You can expect to: 

  • Lead, own and manage client implementations and lead requirements gathering, business analysis, system configuration, testing and training.  

  • System Expertise: Leveraging in-depth knowledge of financial systems, you’ll recommend and configure solutions that best address client needs. Responsible for the delivery and development of client deliverables and business process documentation.  

  • Training & Support: You will develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for end users and internal team members, ensuring they can leverage the system effectively.  

  • Strong understanding of cloud-first environment and integration workflows.  

  • Create an improved reporting strategy for ERP clients and team with the Technical Report Specialist to help accelerate reporting solutions.  

  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and develop surveys to understand client needs related to workflows, security roles and rights and translate them into functional specifications.  

  • Collaborate with clients: You will work closely with client’s finance teams to understand their current processes, pain points, and desired outcomes. Provide best practice recommendations based on these sessions based on product capabilities and identified business process workflows.  

  • System Configuration: Collaborate with Data Management team to configure, update, and customize the ERP system to meet the district’s specific requirements. This can range from setting up workflows, scoping report requirements, developing scripts to extract and analyze data, and scoping integrations with other systems.  

  • Working closely with the Product team to identify inefficiencies with the ERP application and write user stories, to reflect the deficiencies that are impacting the client operations.  

  • Identify and automated solutions for manual processes while partnering with Data Management and Product teams for solutions.  

  • Support client implementations and lead requirements gathering, business analysis, system configuration, and testing.  

  • System Expertise: Leveraging your in-depth knowledge of financial systems, you will recommend and configure solutions that best address client needs. Responsible for the delivery of client deliverables and business process documentation.  

  • As part of an implementation team assist project manager in keeping deliverables on time.  

  • Experience with change management and proactively address customer concerns and resistance to change.  

  • Work on strategies for user adoption and ensure a smooth transition to leveraging a new or implemented ERP system.  

  • Assist with client implementations and lead requirements gathering, business analysis, system configuration, testing, and training.  

  • Develop a full understanding of the Frontline ERP data structure and how that related to data needs for importing, exporting, reporting, and integrations.  

  • Set up and configure client’s workflows (business processes), security roles and rights, etc. per requirements.  

  • Understand and get involved in the architecture of an end-to-end implementation with a focus on the Finance and Payroll module including data gathering, data mapping, and integrations.  

  • Provide feedback to Product on existing product, based on efficiency gains and customer needs.  

  • Determine needs for automation and verification scripts to reduce implementation timelines.  

  • Lead, own and manage the functional and technical aspects of client implementations and lead requirements gathering, business analysis, system configuration, testing, and training.  

  • Extract, analyze and assess client business needs and workflows: make consultative recommendations.  

  • Recommend best practices to clients based on product capabilities and business process workflows.  

  • Handle escalations and tough, complex client data challenges.  

  • Gain cross training and self-paced study knowledge using the Learning Management System quickly to get a good understanding of front end and back-end ERP data structures.  

  • Participate in internal initiatives to build efficiencies, team knowledge, and increase customer satisfaction.  

  • Maintain an average productive UTE target of 70%.  

  • Skilled in facilitating change management, providing guidance to organization leaders rolling out a new system and process.  

  • Handle escalations and tough, complex client data and business process problems.  

  • Understand Frontline’s core values, pillars and corporate/department goals 

  • Gain K12 industry experience as it pertains to Frontline Education & our software solutions.  

What you bring to the role (nice-to-haves):  

  • SQL, Postgres and/or DB4 development skills (Joins, Aggregate Functions, Subqueries, Data Manipulation, Query Optimization, Database design concepts and Data Analysis)  

  • Understand and managed data mapping and data rules.  

  • Report scoping and development experience with a recognized reporting tool set preferably Jaspersoft (iReports/Studio, Domains, Ad-Hoc Views and Dashboards)  

  • Working knowledge of Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) for file exchange and data validation.  

  • Prior K12 or Higher Education experience (preferred).  

  • Deep understanding of ERP Systems: While not needing to be an ERP expert must have strong understanding of financial operations as well as database structures that support a Finance front end, preferably in the K-12 segment.  

  • Skilled in facilitating change management, providing guidance to organization leaders rolling out a new system and process.  

This role requires (must-haves):  

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.  

  • 5+ years of prior experience working in a SaaS based company.  

  • 5 – 10 years’ experience in a customer-facing role, preferably as a support analyst or consultant for ERP Financial and Payroll modules.  

  • Proven experience supporting or designing financial systems.  

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financials processes.  

  • Strong analytical skills, data management and reporting capabilities.  

  • Excel skills (Conditional Formatting, Macros, Pivot Tables, Data Validation, Filters, VLOOKUP, Power Query, Formulas, and Functions).  

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.  

  • Proven experience writing functional documentation, test scripts, and configuration documentation.  

  • Available to travel at least 25% of the time for client travel in TX.  

  • Previous experience successfully managing large, complex multiple clients simultaneously with minimal supervision.  

  • Strong knowledge of importing and exporting tools.  

  • Proven requirements gathering skill sets as well as communication with customers and internal stakeholder for business process configuration, large data analysis, data validation, query specification, and reporting specifications.
