Description: 
Emory Law is currently seeking a Program Coordinator to assist with managing its journals.  Emory Law’s journals feature the legal scholarship of professors, practitioners, heads of state, and students from throughout the country and around the world.  This position works with the student editors and others to successfully complete and distribute four of the five Emory Law journals.  Information about our journals can be found here.  In your first year, you can expect to publish fourteen journals in print and approximately twenty manuscripts online, assist with planning and executing several symposia and banquets, and accomplish myriad administrative duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Designs, implements, and coordinates operational facets of a specific Law School program including program-related conferences, conventions and/or meetings. 
  • Develops work plans to accomplish program goals and objectives and monitors progress toward their achievement. 
  • Identifies and pursues ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative procedures used by students and faculty. 
  • Actively participates in committees pertaining to academic/programmatic services. 
  • Serves as a liaison to and interacts with other groups and organizations participating in the program or seeking knowledge of the program. 
  • Responds to inquiries regarding program requirements. 
  • Advises students on matters related to the program; develops resources to address particular needs. 
  • Provides direction, referral, and placement resources to students seeking employment opportunities in their respective field of study.
  • Develops promotional and communication materials which may include content for reports, briefings, newsletters, grants or other written information related to the program. 
  • May assist in identifying funding resources and in developing fund-raising strategies and initiatives. 
  • Prepares operational and statistical reports. 
  • Maintains complete and accurate program records. 
  • May maintain and update the departmental website. 
  • May supervise program staff, interns, and/or volunteers. 
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Outstanding data management, administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Must be willing to learn and implement new technologies to enhance task performance. 
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
