Program Coordinator I Full Description

Overview: 
The Department of Data Analytics and Information Systems in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University invites applications for a full-time Program Coordinator for Cybersecurity.

Responsibilities: 
Responsibilities will focus on supporting the department’s cybersecurity curriculum across our undergraduate and graduate degree programs, mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in career development activities, and engaging with corporate partners for promoting the department’s cybersecurity programs, other development initiatives, and opportunities for students.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners to grow recruiting pipelines and support programmatic and student-oriented activities and initiatives.
  • Identify and seek funding opportunities – including state, federal, and private sources – to support key cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Calibrate and inform programmatic content and innovative delivery methods and platforms, with a focus on cutting-edge industry needs and practices.
  • Coordinate student events and cybersecurity competition participation.
  • Support and mentor cybersecurity students in their professional development and preparation.
  • Update online and other resources that provide information about Huntsman cybersecurity events and programs.
  • Develop relationships across the USU campus to coordinate and collaborate with key programmatic partners.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties pertinent to the cybersecurity program and the DAIS department as assigned.
 Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience in undergraduate student mentoring and engagement.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Familiarity with programming languages, such as Python, Java, C++, R, Julia, or others used for data science, analytics, and information systems applications.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms.
