Job Summary  | This position is located in Central Kentucky.

The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is seeking a Central Value Chain Coordinator to join the Food Connection division. The Food Connection serves farmers, food producers, students, and consumers by cultivating creative strategies and partnerships to support a vibrant, healthy, and equitable local food economy. The Central Value Chain Coordinator (VCC) is a key member of the team working to cultivate relationships with farmers, processors, distributors, and buyers in Central Kentucky with the goal of adding to farm income and getting more Kentucky grown food into more places. The VCC will work collaboratively with the Western and Eastern KY VCCs and existing partners and organizations to build capacity for local food systems development efforts along the supply chain in Kentucky. The VCC will work across commodities (produce, protein, small grains, dairy, value-added products, etc.) and will regularly convene meetings and/or site visits with farmers, processors, distributors, and buyers to continue to build sustainable and equitable local food value chains in Kentucky. The VCCs will report to the Executive Director of The Food Connection.
