Undergraduate degree Proven ability to manage event logistics and coordinate with diverse stakeholders under tight deadlines. Demonstrated experience working directly with executives, professional organizations, or external partners. Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in time-sensitive or multi-tasking environments. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to draft professional correspondence and manage high-level stakeholder relationships. Professional demeanor and sound judgment in working with faculty, staff, students, and external executives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and reliability in administrative and operational tasks. Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to offer timely, constructive feedback. Ability to balance competing demands and adapt to shifting priorities with a strategic approach.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing, professional selling, communications, public administration, or a related field. Experience planning and executing professional events such as workshops, guest speaker sessions, or employer engagement visits. Experience acting as a liaison between academic departments and external stakeholders, including corporate executives and organizational partners. Prior experience supervising student workers, including onboarding, task assignment, and monitoring work hours. Administrative experience within a university setting, including familiarity with institutional policies, HR procedures, and student programming. Proficiency with SAP for procurement, payroll processing, invoicing, and financial reporting.
Job Description The Program Coordinator within the Center for Professional Sales supports the planning, coordination, and execution of Center activities and corporate engagement efforts that advance the Center’s mission of preparing students for successful careers in professional sales.
The Program Coordinator will play a critical role in sustaining and scaling Center programming, which includes major events such as Interview Express, sales competitions, guest speaker series, and partner campus visits, among others. Additionally, this role provides administrative continuity and logistical support for daily operations, corporate partnership management, student outreach, and internal communication.
As the Center for Professional Sales continues to grow in both scope and impact, this position is essential to ensuring the high-quality execution of center initiatives, maintaining strong relationships with corporate partners, and delivering an exceptional experience for students, faculty, and industry collaborators.
Job Duties The Center for Professional Sales at Texas State University seeks a highly organized and proactive individual to support its operations. This role encompasses a diverse set of responsibilities, including:

Event Coordination: Support planning and execution of major events (e.g., Interview Express), corporate partner classroom visits, internal student competitions, speakers series, and workshops, ensuring seamless logistics and a high-quality participant experience.

Purchasing: Purchase office supplies and other supplies, pay vendors, create purchase orders, create reimbursements. Manage p-card purchases by creating logs, reconciling and getting logs signed. Create vendor set-up, vendor contracts.·
Financial and Administrative Management: Oversee accounts in SAP, provide directors with balances when needed, send Corporate Partners invoices for yearly dues. Track student worker pay.·
HR Duties: Create new positions, post jobs, interview student workers and GA candidates, assist with hiring paperwork, orientation, initiate PCRs and being time administrator for student worker team.

Communications and Social Media: Manage social media content creation and posting in alignment with the Center’s outreach and branding efforts.

Travel Assistant: Create travel requests for directors and student groups, complete expense reports and assist with travel plans.

Administrative Operations: Provide daily administrative support, coordinate meetings, manage vendor contracts and travel arrangements, and liaise with the Office of Student Success.
This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth, professional operation of the Center and its engagement with students, faculty, and industry partners.
