Highlights
Manage the day-to-day operations of the CVCC Amherst Center.

Work a part-time schedule of up to 29 hours per week at $32 - $36 per hour, including some evening and weekend hours.

Central Virginia Community College (CVCC) seeks a dynamic Program Coordinator/Director to oversee the daily operations of the CVCC Amherst Off-site Center and serve as the primary administrator for the Amherst County Early College Program. This position coordinates academic programming, student support services, and dual enrollment initiatives while fostering strong partnerships between CVCC and the Amherst community.The Program Coordinator/Director works collaboratively with college administrators, faculty, staff, school division leaders, counselors, teachers, students, and families to support student success, expand educational opportunities, and ensure the effective operation of the Early College Program.The position serves as a key liaison between the college and local public schools, promoting seamless transitions from high school to post-secondary education.This position may require day, evening, and occasional weekend hours.
Key Responsibilities · Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the CVCC Amherst Center.· Administer and coordinate the Amherst County Early College Program, including student recruitment, enrollment, retention, and completion activities.· Collaborate with school administrators, counselors, teachers, and college personnel to ensure effective delivery of college courses and student support services.· Coordinate student services and facilitate access to admissions, registration, advising, financial aid, accessibility services, and other college resources for Early College.· Assist students and families in understanding program requirements, academic pathways, transfer opportunities, and college expectations.· Monitor student academic progress and work collaboratively with school and college personnel to identify and address barriers to student success.· Coordinate orientation sessions, informational meetings, student recognition events, and other activities that support student engagement and program participation.· Collect, maintain, and analyze program data and prepare reports related to enrollment, retention, completion, and student outcomes.· Promote awareness of CVCC programs through targeted outreach and communication with prospective students, families, and school personnel.· Monitor resources and assist with budget planning and management for center and program activities.· Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, school personnel, faculty, and community stakeholders.· Supervise and support staff, instructors, and program personnel as assigned.· Perform other duties as assigned in support of the college’s mission and strategic goals.
