Job Description:
Barrett, The Honors College at ASU is the premier honors college in the country with a dynamic Student Services division known for individual attention and service to students. We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our Student Engagement Leadership and will acquire a diverse set of skills to include, but is not limited to:

Position Salary:
$45,000 per year

Essential Duties:
- Continue to develop and enhance a strong cohesive residential community experience through Student Services signature programming and retention efforts
- Create and implement student programming activities for both students living on and off campus including, but not limited to: wellness, academic, community service, social, cultural, inclusion, and college signature programs
- Employ effective marketing and promotion strategies that maximize a student community experience
- Work within a specified budget and maintain accurate documentation of expenditures
- Participate and support signature Student Services and college events (Afternoon Tea, Gold Standard Awards, Tailgate, Homecoming, Family Weekend, etc.)
- Supervise, train, and evaluate student programmers responsible for developing and implementing Barrett Student Services programming.
- Support daily operations and coordinate programming within the Barrett Student Center.
- Supervise and train student workers assigned to the Barrett Student Center.
- Oversee operations of the Barrett Bucks Store, including ordering, tracking, and inventory management of merchandise.
- Coordinate with the marketing team on merchandise design requests.
- Manage vendor relationships and purchasing processes in compliance with university procurement policies.
- Plan, manage and serve as a chaperone on Barrett Travel programs, including marketing, event logistics, travel coordination, compliance with university and college business policies, and completion of all required forms and documentation.
- Serve on relevant committees, including but not limited to ASU-wide cultural and heritage month committees, pan-campus Barrett Student Services committees, hiring committees, and the Barrett admissions committee
- Provide regular reports and updates to Student Services leadership
- Contribute content to the website and other social media outlets of the college
- Maintain and establish relationships with other units, student organizations and external community groups

- Experience working in an institution of higher education
- Experience working in a residential college setting
- Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in working with honors programs
- Experience in mentoring, training, and developing student leaders
- Demonstrated knowledge of higher education student services and resources
- Experience with creating, planning and implementing student social, professional development and academic events and programs
- Demonstrated ability to creatively strategize and be innovative in solving problems and addressing student needs
- Experience working with a marketing team to design materials for events and giveaway items
- Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff, and faculty
- Evidence of tangible results for getting students to engage in behaviors that positively impact their success
- Flexibility, adaptability, highly organized, and attention to detail
Working Environment:
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential functions.
- Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00PM
- Some nights and weekends are required to perform duties
