Position Title | Program Director, Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy Program
Position Summary | The College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at California Baptist University (CBU) invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track faculty position at any rank. We seek a dynamic individual to serve as the founding Program Director for a proposed Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy (DMFT) program.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to academic excellence and the integration of Christian faith and learning. Applicants should have demonstrated experience in higher education, clinical practice, and scholarly activity.
Responsibilities include: Developing and overseeing the DMFT program curriculum. Teaching graduate-level courses. Engaging in ongoing research and scholarship. Recruiting and mentoring students. Providing visionary leadership and program development. Contributing to the university and local community through purposeful service
Pay Range | The compensation for this appointment will range from $115,000 – $125,000 annually and reflects what California Baptist University reasonably expects to pay for this faculty appointment. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant, as well as market conditions. In addition to wages, CBU offers a robust suite of
employee benefits.Qualifications | Candidates must have a DMFT or PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited University and have an active LMFT license within the state of California. Candidates must also have demonstrated experience teaching in higher education, leadership in University environments, academic scholarship, and clinical practice.
Ideal candidates possess excellent communication skills, the ability to lead collaboratively and effectively, a demonstrated record of integrity, humility, and grace. Preference will be given to individuals with a history of effective teaching, notable academic contributions, and clinical expertise.
