Job Description Summary

Organization's Summary Statement:

Assists the Purchasing Assistant Warehouse Manager with all Trades Shops purchasing requests under $5000.00. Acts as a liaison within the Department for: Assistant Directors, Managers and Shop Supervisors, in identifying and meeting their parts and materials procurement needs. 
Assists FM Logistics Assistant Manager and Multi-Trades Supervisor with all purchase requests of parts and materials for use by and of the FM Trades shops as well as other campus departments.

Physical Demands:

Work is performed in an office environment. Due to the volume of quick turnaround required for goods and services requested by FM personnel, conditions are often stressful. This position requires on-site work and is not eligible for telework.

Licenses/ Certifications:

Although driving a State Vehicle is not a requirement for this position, travel by foot or vehicle may be required from time to time for meetings, deliveries, etc. across campus. If driving a State vehicle, incumbent must possess and maintain a valid class C Driver's license or equivalent with fewer than six points.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree AND Two years experience in administrative staff work. Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
