Posting Context Statement
The Experiential Learning Program Manager supports the University of Idaho’s student success mission by assisting with the development and coordination of experiential learning opportunities across the undergraduate curriculum. Working with the Director of General Education and Student Success, faculty, and campus partners, the position helps align existing efforts, support course-based initiatives in first-year, general education, and upper-division programs, and track participation and outcomes. The role contributes to scalable, consistent approaches that strengthen student engagement, academic achievement, and retention.
Position Overview
This position supports the planning and completion of educational, outreach or professional programs; working with program staff, students, the public and/or agencies, to plan and oversee program activities. May lead a distinct area for the program such as outreach, assessment or financial management.

Duties may include:
  • Participate in the development and implementation of program deliverables, services and activities
  • Coordinate a team with a variety array of talents and responsibilities
  • Collect, compile and summarize program data for reports
  • Participate in developing program operating goals, objectives and protocols
  • Maintain program budgets, monitoring and reviewing transactions for compliance with program requirements
  • Active participation in the development and submission of program proposals
  • Lead collection and compilation of program assessment data­
  • May supervise the work of others or lead a team to accomplish assigned goals
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications
Required Experience
  • Two years of program coordination or program management experience
  • Working in a team environment to accomplish shared goals
  • Collecting, compiling, summarizing, and analyzing data for administrative reports
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree; four additional years of experience in program coordination (for a total of six years) may substitute for a Bachelor’s Degree
Required Other
  • Ability to work nonstandard business hours with occasional evening or weekend commitments as needed for programming and events
Additional Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in higher education, education, student affairs, or a related field
  • Master’s Degree in a related field
  • Experience supporting experiential learning, applied learning, internships, cooperative education, or related programs
  • Experience supporting curriculum integration or course-based initiatives
  • Experience working with general education or foundational courses
  • Experience with program assessment and data-informed improvement
  • Experience using academic data systems and learning management systems
  • Experience processing financial transactions and compiling routine management reports
  • Experience collaborating with faculty, staff, and external partners
  • Experience managing multiple initiatives and priorities effectively
