| Job Description Summary: | The Department of Defense (DoD) National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) Pilot Program is a federally funded initiative aimed at strengthening the nation’s medical surge capability through enhanced coordination between military, federal, and civilian health systems. The National Capital Region (NCR) is one of the designated pilot sites focused on implementing innovative models for mass casualty care, trauma system integration, and medical readiness. This Program Manager, NDMS Pilot Program position is hosted by George Washington University and works closely with the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health (NCDMPH), DoD, HHS, VA, DHS, and local public/private healthcare entities. The Program Manager will oversee the day-to-day planning, execution, and evaluation of the NDMS Pilot Program activities in the National Capital Region. This role serves as a central point of coordination among military, federal, and civilian healthcare stakeholders to advance the goals of the pilot and ensure alignment with national objectives. | Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
