Program Manager, Strategy and Content
The Program Manager, Strategy and Content is responsible for building and maintaining the operational backbone that enables the EXE team to bring curriculum and platform expertise to more districts at the points in the sales and adoption cycle where it matters most, from seeding the market and presentations to core pilots and the transition to implementation. The role exists to make that expertise consistent, scalable, and proactive, rather than dependent on individual capacity and one-off effort.
Working in close partnership with EXE leaders, this role designs the systems, processes, and tools that lift coordination overhead off Impact Specialists and National Directors, so they can focus energy on engaging with educators, strategizing with sales reps and leaders, and bring consultative expertise to more opportunities across math, literacy, science, and Spanish literacy programs. A central part of the work is turning proven models into repeatable structures that hold up across every core program, territory, and pilot window.
Primary areas of responsibility include: establishing the infrastructure for best-in-class core pilot support; expanding the reach of EXE thought leadership; managing field-facing content and presentation assets; and owning the Educator Support Request process. The role is central to Curriculum Associates' priority of leading the market in core curriculum, and growing and evolving i-Ready — creating the conditions for stronger pilots, faster and more consistent support, and improved adoption outcomes.
The impact you'll have:
1. Establish and Maintain the Infrastructure for Best-in-Class Core Pilot Support
- In partnership with EXE leaders, design and manage the systems that enable a scalable, responsive support model across math, literacy, science, and Spanish literacy programs
- Translate leader vision and successful models — including Magnetic Momentum and Solutions Lab — into repeatable support structures across all core programs
- Develop planning tools, timelines, workflows, and communication systems that allow Impact Specialists and National Directors to focus on educator readiness rather than coordination overhead
- Create systems that democratize access to content specialists and expertise across districts and territories, ensuring more educators can benefit from high-quality guidance regardless of district size, geography, or visibility
- Serve as the primary liaison between EXE and key cross-functional partners, ensuring coordinated planning and a cohesive educator experience through the full pilot and adoption journey
- Monitor data; surface trends and risks so leaders can determine the right support response
2. Expand the Reach of EXE Thought Leadership
- In partnership with EXE leaders and cross-functional teams, develop systems that extend the reach and impact of Curriculum & Instruction expertise across the field
- Partner with EXE leaders, National Directors, and Impact Specialists to identify thought leadership needs tied to core pilot and adoption priorities
- Enable processes for collaborative planning with sales leaders to get ahead of core opportunities and begin seeding the market long before the adoption year
- Create systems that make expert insights accessible and reusable — so specialists spend less time recreating guidance and more time on high-value district engagement
3. Strengthen Presentation Readiness and Content Asset Management
- Design and manage the systems that keep field-facing materials organized, current, and easy to deploy
- Develop and maintain a centralized library of core program assets that mobilize NDs and ISPs to create compelling, district-aligned presentations with ease, leveraging AI to streamline version control and surface the right materials quickly
- Partner with Product Marketing to ensure consistency in messaging between content created by EXE and content created by Product Marketing, and establish feedback loops so what we learn in district conversations informs future materials and positioning
4. Modernize ESR Intake, Routing, and Expert Deployment
- Own the Educator Support Request process end to end — from AI-powered intake and routing to capturing engagement data that informs implementation health and gives sales leadership the visibility to make more strategic decisions about where and how to deploy expert support
- Design improved intake and routing processes that include better questions, clearer triage, and workflows that match requests to the right expert across Impact Specialists and National Directors
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify ways EXE engagement data can be captured into systems that track and evaluate implementation health, creating a record that can be leveraged by the IST in the future
- Create visibility into engagement outcomes that gives sales leadership transparency into how expert support is being deployed, and generate ROI insights that allow the team to be more strategic about what we support and where
Who we're looking for:
The ideal candidate is a strategic operator and program manager who can turn leader vision into executable systems. They understand curriculum, field needs, and the realities of supporting sales and implementation. They don't need to be the primary content expert in every program area — they need to know how to organize expertise, build systems around it, and enable expert teams to deliver strong support at scale.
- Strong program management skills: managing multiple workstreams, timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables
- Ability to translate strategic direction into clear workflows and execution plans
- Understanding of core curriculum adoption, pilot support, implementation, or sales support
- Cross-functional collaboration skills; comfort partnering across sales, marketing, enablement, implementation, and curriculum
- Systems thinking and operational discipline — the ability to build scalable processes without overcomplicating them
- Strong communication and content organization skills
- Demonstrates expertise in AI and automation to improve efficiency and quality
- Sound judgment about when to standardize, when to customize, and when to escalate
Preferred experience:
- K-12 curriculum, implementation, professional learning, sales support, field support, or program management
- Supporting core curriculum pilots or district adoption processes
- Building content libraries, enablement systems, or scalable support models
- Managing complex cross-functional work where subject-matter experts own the content and this role owns the system for execution
