Advertising/Posting Title | Program Specialist
Posting Summary | Lake Champlain Sea Grant is seeking a Program Specialist to lead communications, coordinate federal reporting, and support program initiatives for Lake Champlain Sea Grant and two allied programs. Lake Champlain Sea Grant is housed within the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Vermont (UVM). The program specialist will be responsible for communications content development and planning, implementing and evaluating a communications strategy. The specialist also leads federal reporting efforts, including requesting, reviewing, and synthesizing information, and supports fellowship programs and provides other administrative and extension programmatic assistance as needed.
Qualified candidates will be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Adobe Suite, Canva, or other design software, be familiar with Wordpress or other web publishing tools, and have a demonstrated ability to work in both team settings and independently. A Bachelor’s degree and one to three years of related experience is required.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) | Bachelor’s degree and one to three years of related experience, such as environmental science, required. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Proficiency with Adobe Suite, Canva, or other design software. Familiarity with Wordpress or other web publishing tools.
Demonstrated ability to work both in team settings and independently; accurately communicate complex research topics and technical concepts in reports and communications products.
Desirable Qualifications | Familiarity with budgets, newsletter/mailing list management software.
Anticipated Pay Range | $24 -$27 / hr
