Job Summary  | The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Utah is seeking a versatile software developer. In this role, you will design, code, and modify web applications primarily related to our payroll and financial tracking systems. Other potential projects include facilitating the migration of our scheduling system and dependencies to a modern cloud-based system, developing features for our scheduling and evaluation notification system, improving our web-based digital signage, developing automation for onboarding and offboarding workflows, and other web-based tools as required. Opportunities to perform ad-hoc SQL queries and data analysis in R and/or Python are possible. Lastly, this role will provide general desktop and AV support when needed.

An ideal candidate would have experience in C#, PHP, and full-stack web development and be familiar with best practices. They would have exceptional problem-solving skills, analytic skills, and an eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities 
· Develop, test, and maintain software applications using C#, PHP, and full-stack web development tools, including ASP.NET and Laravel· Be familiar with web development best practices.
· Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
· Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.· Create and maintain software documentation.
· Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.· Implement security and data protection measures.
· Update websites with new content and features as required.
· Be proficient in problem-solving and have strong attention to detail.
· Be willing and capable to provide desktop support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues when needed.
· On occasion, offer AV support for meetings and events.
· Adapt to a hybrid work environment.
