Job Description:
ASU Mesh Labs is currently seeking a highly-motivated and energetic Project Coordinator. This candidate works closely and collaboratively with the director at Mesh Labs to plan, organize, and execute against project requirements and budgets while also helping ensure the success of the internal Mesh Labs Guild Program. The ideal candidate will identify and acquire necessary resources and coordinate efforts by all parties to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes in accordance with sponsor expectations. The ideal candidate will also provide administrative and logistical support in running and maintaining the success of the Guild Program. The responsibilities are broad in scope, encompassing a wide variety of activities requiring shifts in priorities. This candidate will take initiative, demonstrate a sense of urgency, use good organizational skills, require strong communication skills, work with several cross-functional project teams, and follow through on commitments to achieve high-quality, repeatable results.  This position is a 10-month assignment. 

Mesh Labs is an XR production studio inside of the Herberger School of Art and Design at Arizona State University. Position Salary Range:
$50,000 - $65,000; depends on experience within posted range

Essential Duties:
  • Plans, develops, implements, and manages a project team through complete task definitions and work requirement identification and assignments 
  • Works closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders to define project scope, strategy, budget, and outcomes; identifies critical resource expertise and targets appropriate internal and/or external sources to ensure optimal outcome(s). 
  • Establishes and continually monitors/manages project expectations with team; assigns tasks and identifies issues for resolution to ensure optimal team effectiveness 
  • Prepares and maintains project status reports and schedules; tracks milestones/deliverables, critical paths and dependencies; re-sets expectations as needed in consideration of project progress/outcomes. 
  • Responds to all inquiries regarding project status; prepares and responds to all regulatory reporting/filings to ensure compliance 
  • Manages, coaches, and supervises all project team members both internal and contracted to ensure optimal outcomes; builds, develops, and maintains task management workflows

Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge in the spectrum of immersive technology and skill to explore and experiment with the latest developments in the immersive tech field.
  • Experience as a generalist in Unity, Unreal and working knowledge of 3D modeling software.
  • Working knowledge of 360 cameras & editing software (Premier Pro for 360 & stitching).
  • Working knowledge of 3D capture techniques and Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality production.
  • Knowledge of software and equipment for immersive sound.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, and successful experience in supporting faculty, staff and students.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion. 

Working Environment:
  • Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to
  • extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking. 
  • Work will regularly involve in-person presence. 
  • Activities may also be performed remotely, as agreed upon with Mesh Studio director. 
  • Position is a 10-month assignment.
