Rutgers University is hiring a Project Manager. The Project Manager will coordinate and manage medium to large-scale capital construction projects from planning and design through construction, occupancy, and close-out. This role involves managing project budgets, coordinating contract documents, overseeing construction activities, and aligning project outcomes with university goals and end user needs.

Manage and administer all aspects of capital projects including planning, budgeting, contract preparation, and construction oversight.
Coordinate requirements and activities among end users, consultants, and construction teams.
Represent the department and university in ongoing capital project activities related to new construction and renovations.
Review project proposals for accuracy, completeness, and constructability.
Develop and manage project team tasks to ensure successful project implementation.
Maintain continuous project monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
Proficiency required in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), or Construction Management and at least seven years of practical project management experience as an owner’s representative.
Experience required in healthcare, research, or higher education project management, with budgets ranging from $50,000 to $50,000,000.
Valid Driver’s License required; ability to travel within central and southern New Jersey; preferred professional licensure in Engineering or Architecture in NJ and supervisory experience.
Salary range: $105,763 to $161,814 annually.
Position is full-time, exempt, with a standard 37.5-hour workweek.
