Project Manager Full Description

Position Summary: 
The Project Manager supports and coordinates Global Enrollment Management and Student Success (GEMSS) projects and operations with thorough understanding of GEMSS departments and priorities, and executive priorities that advance the University's strategic objectives. The Project Manager is a proactive, self-directed member of the EM Technology team, providing oversight and administrative support to a large inventory of long- and short-term projects, and some daily operations. Gather and analyze the needs of end users, liaise between business managers and technology organizations, and execute the entire development life cycle (including scope definition, functional requirements gathering, analysis, and business impact). Collaborate productively with senior leadership and business partners across the University, in order to meet GEMSS objectives. 

Qualifications: 
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years of project management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Experience:
5+ years experience managing student administrative processes of admissions, registration, student billing, and financial aid, data governance and management Experience leading business process re-engineering initiatives leveraging six sigma (or similar) principles and tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely explain complex concepts. Ability to interact with all levels of personnel. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated management and reporting skills. Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, and implement change. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and project management software/tools. Strong organizational skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Ability to consistently meet deadlines. Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy when dealing with difficult issues and/or various organizations. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment and develop positive relationships with various constituents (with both technical and non-technical backgrounds).

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of current and emerging information technologies and systems including systems development, MS Windows operating systems, large database applications (Oracle), PeopleSoft CampusSolutions, ServiceNow 

Additional Information: 
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $110,000.00 to USD $130,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
