Position Overview:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering and testing projects that
support sustainable infrastructure and environmental solutions. This role ensures that all project activities are
completed on time, within scope, and aligned with client and regulatory expectations. The Project Manager works
closely with technical staff, field personnel, and clients to deliver high-quality results, manage budgets, and
support operational excellence across geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials testing projects.
Pay Range: USD $80,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
Responsibilities:
● Lead and manage projects from proposal through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and
quality objectives are met.
● Develop project estimates, proposals, and scopes of work in collaboration with technical and business
development teams
● Coordinate and assign resources, including field technicians and support staff, to ensure project needs are
met efficiently
● Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to manage expectations, address issues, and
ensure satisfaction.
● Track project financial performance, including cost control, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis.
● Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., ASTM, ACI, ICC),
specifications, and industry best practices.
● Perform or supervise field inspections, construction materials testing, and special inspections when
needed.
● Review and approve timesheets, reports, and client documentation; ensure timely submission of project
deliverables.
● Support employee development through training, mentorship, and performance feedback; participate in
hiring and onboarding.
● Ensure all activities adhere to company safety protocols and regulatory requirements
● Assist with identifying add-on or follow-on work opportunities through client engagement and field
visibility.
● Prepare reports and technical documents for internal and external stakeholders.
● Participate in cross-functional collaboration with engineering, laboratory, safety, and operational teams

Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline; OR
equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
● For non-degreed candidates: 7–10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, environmental
consulting, or construction materials testing (CMT) and inspection.
● Certifications in relevant inspection or testing areas preferred (e.g., ACI, ICC, ATTI, Nuclear Safety).
● Strong knowledge of construction materials testing standards (ASTM, AASHTO, etc.) and ability to
interpret technical specifications
● Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific platforms (e.g., project management, data reporting
systems).
● Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
● Willingness to travel to job sites and work in diverse environmental conditions
● Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and interface with clients and regulatory
bodies effectively Travel Requirements:
● This position requires occasional travel, approximately 10% to 20% of the time, to support business
objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on
project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may
be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and
use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- This position operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring flexibility to work effectively from both a
professional office and work site setting. - On-Site Office Requirements:
- Work is performed at a desk for extended periods using a computer, phone, and standard office
equipment in a climate-controlled office environment. - Regular in-person communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders is required.
- Physical demands may include sitting for long durations, occasional standing, walking, bending,
and lifting of materials up to 15 pounds.
- Field Environment:
- Work at outdoor sites including wetlands, forests, grasslands, construction zones, and
undeveloped land. - Travel on foot across uneven, rugged, or obstructed terrain, sometimes in areas inaccessible by
vehicle. - Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, humidity, rain, or sun.
- Possible presence of insects, animals, or natural and man-made hazards in field environments.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry between 35–75 lbs. of equipment or samples over distances up to 75 feet.
- Ability to stand, walk, drive, and operate lab and field equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and balance as needed during both lab and
fieldwork. - Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats in varied environments,
often while wearing PPE. - Ability to use sensory capabilities to see (including close and distant vision, color perception,
depth perception, and focus) and smell for observation and safety purposes
