| Job Summary | UT Dallas is seeking a Project Manager I to be responsible for managing Information Technology related project(s), from concept through delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning, execution and rollout of top priority IT initiatives. The candidate will report to the director of the Project Management Office to ensure compliance with project methodology and controls. This role will also be involved with maturing the project management methodology, policies, processes, tools and templates, and governance to contribute to successful delivery of projects within Shared Information Services at UTD. |
| Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience or high school diploma and 4 years of related experience along with PMP certification. |

| Other Qualifications | To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. |
| Essential Duties and Responsibilities | The Project Manager I demonstrates a full working knowledge of the project management lifecycle and familiarity with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for technology projects. A working knowledge of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and systems integration is preferred. The role requires strong leadership, communication, relationship‑building, and analytical skills to proactively manage risks, resolve issues, and guide cross‑functional project teams to successful outcomes.
