Project Manager, Office of Academic Appointments Full Description

Position Summary:

Provide project management for the Office of Academic Appointments (OAA), with a focus on Faculty/Researcher Appointment Data (FRAD) related initiatives. Support the management, execution, timeline, escalation point, and deliverables of projects in OAA. Coordinate and create project artifacts (project plan, work breakdown, etc.) essential for effective project management, tracking, updating, and reporting of project status. Identify, track, and address potential risks and issues that may arise. Execute OAA communication activities such as maintaining OAA website for relevant updates and partnering with AVP on developing monthly communications on upcoming deadlines, priority attention items, training refreshers, and branding. Draft communications for the launch of new OAA systems and reminders on annual deadlines. Provide ongoing management for operational OAA projects, including creating business process documentation, workflows, developing timelines, outlining deliverables, and providing feedback and clarification to School faculty affairs contacts, as necessary. Recommend refinement and/or modification of existing workflows reflecting needs and nuances from OAA and Schools. Deliver solutions centered on technology and automation, alongside continuous technical support and management. This is a two-year fixed-term position.

Qualifications:

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, and/or project management

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years project management experience, cross functional communication or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent timelines and deliverables across different projects. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, administrators, leadership teams, and external partners to advance project goals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting clear communications, training materials, and translating policy information into plain language. Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation applications, and data tracking and management on Access, Tableau, website CMS tools, and Interfolio. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.

Additional Information:

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $75,000.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
