Project Manager - YPAR Program Full Description

Overview: 
The Youth in Action for Health Equity (YIA) is a Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) program that integrates public health equity, adolescent health advocacy, school success, and career readiness programming with high school students in Vallejo CA. Under the leadership of the Principal Investigator and housed within the TUC Public Health Program, the Program Manager will oversee all aspects of the project from program development, implementation, assessment, and coordination with school and community partners.

Responsibilities: 
 Program Management and CoordinationIn collaboration with YIA Program Director and Assistant Director, Develop agendas for team mtgs and co-lead team mtgs Maintain program documents in organized electronic filesProgram, curriculum and implementation development Coordination with Touro and Community Partners (e.g. TUC HCOP, Kaiser, Solano County Office of Education) and High School Faculty and Administration Partners Direct program delivery and staff mentoring  Staff Training & SupervisionRecruitment of staff, staff training, mentoring, and supervision Research & EvaluationUse of YPAR approach for evaluation (including students and teachers as key partners)Assist with development of research plan including adaptation of research instruments and processes, data analysis, reporting, sharing data with students, and other key stakeholders Analyzing and reporting for funders, academic publications or conferences Financial and Administrative Support Budget monitoring

QUALIFICATION(S): is the Education, Training and/or related experience needed by the person to perform the job.
Master’s Degree preferred.Bachelor’s Degree required.Min. 1-2 years of experience working with low-income, ethnically diverse youth in school or community programs required.Work in schools or community programs that highlight youth empowerment models (e.g, YPAR, positive youth development), recommended.Research experience, recommended.
