Job Summary
Our research team is hiring a part-time Research Assistant/Analyst to support the development, delivery, and evaluation of skin cancer prevention interventions. The Research Assistant/Analyst will primarily support a project led by Dr. Tammy Stump to develop and test a sun protection intervention for young adults using mobile health technology (e.g., smartphone app). The Research Assistant/Analyst will recruit participants, prepare materials for study appointments, lead focus groups/interviews and study onboarding video calls, and communicate with participants to encourage study participation. The Research Assistant/Analyst will also create reports of study activities and outcomes, which will involve data cleaning and running basic descriptive statistics. Secondary responsibilities may include providing assistance on related projects.

Responsibilities 
Research Assistant/Analyst responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following: Establishing trusting and collaborative relationships with teachers, other school staff, and families participating in research studies Preparation of materials and staff for school visits Utilizing a structured protocol to lead classroom activities for skin cancer prevention and collect survey data from students Documenting activities and outcomes in appropriate databases Compiling reports summarizing study progress Attending team meetings to discuss progress, successes, and challenges Participating in ongoing training to maintain fidelity to protocols and other research required training Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications 
Bachelor’s degree in a Social or Behavioral Science, Liberal Arts, or a field related to the area of research, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); one year of experience in research and analytical techniques; demonstrated statistical and quantitative analysis experience; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required..
