The Clinical Student Manager will provide support to Purdue University Global students through the clinical placement process.

Job Summary:
The Clinical Student Manager (CSM) is responsible for being the primary contact regarding clinical placement and field practicums for an assigned student population within Purdue Global. The Clinical Student Manager (CSM) operates under the direct supervision of the Senior Manager, Clinical Student Support, in collaboration with School of Nursing leadership. The CSM is responsible for communicating clinical placement expectations to students, providing placement support as needed, and monitoring student progress throughout the clinical placement process. The Clinical Student Manager also serves as a point of contact for clinical sites, assisting with the establishment of affiliation agreements in collaboration with Purdue Global’s legal team and coordinating the completion of any additional site-specific requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Student Support & Clinical Placement:
  • Informs and educates students on the steps and requirements of the clinical process.
  • Conducts clinical student orientations and offers office hours to provide ongoing guidance and support to students.
  • Provides clinical placement support to students as needed throughout the placement process.
  • Provides information and reminders on clinical placement requirements to students on a regular basis.
  • Addresses questions from students on requirements and provides encouragement and supportive guidance to help students successfully navigate the placement process.
  • Tracks student progress on clinical requirements and confirms all clinical placement requirements have been met before the students clinical rotation begins.
  • Assist with student/clinical site remediation issues as required.
Relationship Management:
  • Coordinates with clinical sites and Purdue Global legal support on completion of affiliation agreements, site compliance documents, and Purdue Global required clinical documentation.
  • Develops and manages relationships for clinical sites and preceptors for programs within the assigned region.
  • Provide input into strategic, operational, and administrative projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Master's Degree in healthcare, higher education or similar program and/or comparable experience.
  • 2-3 years experience with third party sites, agencies, or businesses.
  • Higher education, or careers services experience is preferred.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, balance competing demands for time, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Effective analytical skills with the ability to assess situations, resolve issues or make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style and method to suit different audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a professional demeanor with people at all levels within the organization and from diverse backgrounds.
  • Must be able to work a variety of hours/days (early mornings/late evenings) to support students in various time zones.
  • Must be able to work with Google and MS programs, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Google.

Additional Information:
The target salary for this position is $60,000.
