Our Opportunity: 
The Prior Learning Operations Analyst will provide support to Purdue University Global’s Office of the Registrar.  Building on Purdue University's mission to provide greater access to affordable, high-quality education, Purdue Global is a public, nonprofit institution offering a world-class education online.

Job Summary
The Prior Learning Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the operations of prior learning evaluation and assessment for Purdue Global University. The Prior Learning Operations Analyst administers processes, services, and functions related to student opportunities for transfer and prior learning. This position is responsible for carrying out projects and processes aligned with departmental and institutional strategies that generate value for the university. The Prior Learning Operations Analyst works as a member of the Office of the Registrar while building relationships at the University that will foster effective student service.
 
This position plays a key role in the completion of both projects and transactional work, including the thoughtful use of resources as applied to concurrent initiatives. This position is expected to participate in both daily and long-term tasks in order to support the team in achieving its goals.

What to expect in this role:
  • Experiential Learning Portfolio:
    • Provide operational support for the experiential learning portfolio process.
    • Review experiential learning portfolio results for quality control and process adherence.
    • Manage and maintain the list of undergraduate courses in the Course Explorer for quality and accuracy.
    • Report student fees to the Business Office.
  • Prior Learning Faculty:
    • Onboard, organize, maintain, and administer faculty resources, including payment, to support prior learning processes across the university, including experiential learning portfolio, Assessment of Skills and Knowledge (ASK), and articulation faculty review.
    • Work with academic leaders to develop and improve faculty management strategies that support the university and each division.
    • Deploy faculty training and guidance for prior learning services as faculty are incorporated into prior learning evaluations and assessments.
  • Assessment of Skills and Knowledge (ASK) Exams:
    • Provide operational support for the ASK process.
    • Review the ASK process results for quality control and process adherence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in higher education including familiarity with prior learning assessment, transfer credit evaluations, and services for online students.

  • Ability to effectively complete projects and transactional tasks in support of students with prior learning, including  the ability to multitask while maintaining personalized approach to student service.
  • Strong computer skills; skills in technological support and delivery of student programs and services, including the ability to learning proprietary systems and adapt to changes/updates in technology
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite software, such as MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint, as well as google applications such Gmail and Meet.
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships, including the ability to develop ideas among diverse groups as part of a remote team
  • Demonstrated ability to think ‘outside of the box’ and develop solutions to emerging needs in a proactive manner
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while working with a high level of accuracy under limited supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a professional demeanor with people at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
