Core Responsibilities:

  • To develop a high-performance team, which is highly motivated and capable of delivering strong results (SQDCP) and optimizing the Mould Validation operations continuously (Verification & Approval of new injection moulds from Engineering into Mass Production).
  • To secure timely/relevant tactical plans and its execution to have the Mould Approval function supporting and enabling the strategic direction of the company. This is achieved by driving projects/tasks through team and cross-functional collaboration.
  • To Ensure a high level of collaboration with the local site stakeholders (Local Quality organization, Mould Qualification Leaders and teams) and with global stakeholders (EMV Leadership Team colleagues, Mould Qualification, E&M chain, Processing R&D, etc.). At the same time, making decisions based on that detailed understanding of dependencies and delivering according to Customer changing needs.
  • To develop own team through leveraging the business needs/opportunities with the individual needs for development of the team members. During this process, clear and ambitious expectations must be set, and eventually, accountability towards that and learning extraction are to be secured. All of this, while always adhering to the LEGO Values.
  • To be Responsible and accountable of the final evaluation of the elements on all parameters (weight, measurements, function and visual) and have the mandate to reject or approve an element/mould, and by that be the ambassadors for the right LEGO quality level. Ensuring the documentation is updated and ready to pass on to next step in the chain.
  • To Follow the Global Processes and to make sure they stay locally relevant, while at the same time, playing an active role in improving them through professional feedback and collaboration

The Element & Mould Validation (EMV) organization consists of 5 Element Qualification teams (3 on-site in China, Hungary and Mexico, which are all build alike and support the daily operation on the site, and 2 teams in Denmark).

The Element Qualification (EQ) teams are responsible for the daily operations of measuring and approval of moulded elements and thereby the new moulds. Hence, the EQ teams are the guardians/stewards for the premium quality of bricks we send out to consumers.

A main challenge is to be part of a global LT where the direct manager sits in another location and handle the local and global collaboration with the stakeholders (EMV global colleagues, Mould Qualification, QEHS, E&M Chain, Processing R&D, etc.)

Finally, it is also an important challenge to constantly develop the quality level of the elements, keeping the right level of quality (neither too high or low) by challenging employees and taking inputs from stakeholders.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Knowledge about general Quality tools: FMEA, LEAN, Six Sigma, ISO standards is considered a plus
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience on Injection Moulding technology, metrology or quality work.
  • Must be experienced in MS office
  • Experience working in SAP
  • Willingness to join team seminars (F2F and online), often in challenging time schedules due to time zone differences
  • Traveling is expected to 10-15 days pr. Year.
