About the Role:

This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions that support high-quality, scalable, and accessible products. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate product needs into effective automation strategies, strengthen test coverage across systems and APIs, and contribute to reliable and inclusive software delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support quality engineering practices across delivery lanes to ensure reliable releases and reduce rework through early testing and automation.

  • Design and maintain scalable automated test solutions, focusing on end-to-end (E2E) testing using modern frameworks such as Playwright.

  • Collaborate with engineering and product partners to define quality strategies, test coverage expectations, and quality gates aligned with demos and releases.

  • Validate features at the story level before integration to enable early defect detection and smoother delivery.

  • Ensure cross-team dependencies are properly tested to support predictable and consistent delivery outcomes.

  • Integrate quality practices into the SDLC, including CI/CD pipelines, defect prevention, and test data management.

  • Continuously improve testing processes and automation to strengthen overall product quality.

  • Mentor and guide engineers on quality best practices, promoting a culture of ownership, accountability, and engineering excellence.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or QA Test Engineering within agile development environments.

  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end (E2E) automated testing frameworks, preferably using Playwright.

  • Strong ability to define and execute test strategies across multiple teams or delivery lanes.

  • Experience testing APIs and microservices, including REST services, integration testing, and contract validation.

  • Familiarity with at least one programming language; like JavaScript or TypeScript preferred Java or Python also acceptable

  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and applying quality gates to support release confidence.

  • Solid understanding of shift-left testing practices, including unit, integration, and story-level validation.

  • Experience supporting demo readiness and release validation in coordinated, multi-team environments.

  • Ability to identify quality risks early and proactively drive mitigation efforts across teams.

  • Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers and influencing quality practices beyond an individual team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on reducing rework.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
