 I. JOB OVERVIEW 
Job Description Summary:  | Human Resource Management & Development (HRMD) is made up of several departments that serve as advocates for the GW community and consistently provide discreet, valuable and personalized service that is timely and responsive. Talent Acquisition within HRMD works with applicants, the human resources business partner team, and hiring managers to effectively and efficiently manage the recruitment of staff. Talent Acquisition develop processes to meet the university’s goal of bringing together talented people from diverse backgrounds that support GW’s teaching, research, and public service mission; and individuals who embrace the GW values of learning, communication, community, diversity, excellence, respect, service, sustainability, and teamwork. In support of these goals, Talent Acquisition seeks a Recruitment Coordinator.

This position supports the recruiting activities of the university and the recruiting staff. The core responsibilities of this role are to post jobs on internal and external websites, to provide customer service for internal clients and external applicants, to process hiring documentation and background checks, and to produce offer letters. This position may also monitor a portfolio to ensure advertising produces a reasonable quantity of applicants, and will participate in and support various recruiting activities (e.g. job fairs, phone screens, reference checks).

Reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition, the Recruitment Coordinator’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

● Scheduling phone Interviews, screening candidates for open positions.● Scheduling interviews for interview panels and facilitating interviews on-site and virtually.● Post jobs on the internal GWU Jobs website and external websites; provide posting guidance and support.● Monitor assigned job requisitions to ensure advertising produces a reasonable quantity of applicants.● Process hiring proposals, background checks, and produce offer letters.● Respond to applicant inquiries with a customer service and positive focused approach.● Participate in various recruiting activities (e.g. job fairs, new hire orientation).● Help facilitate a weekly orientation schedule and assist new hires in a positive onboarding experience.● Call and speak with candidates and handle questions or intake escalations for the team

Minimum Qualifications:  | Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 1.5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
