Job Summary  | Leads strategic recruitment and engagement initiatives to support College of Public Affairs and Education’s (CPAE) graduate enrollment and retention goals. Develops and implements outreach plans, student engagement activities, and events that attract and retain students. Builds external partnerships to strengthen the graduate student pipeline and collaborates with internal stakeholders to align efforts with academic and institutional priorities. Uses data analysis to continuously refine strategies and improve recruitment outcomes. Performs other functional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications  | Bachelor’s degree, preferably in public affairs, education, business administration, marketing, communications or related field. Five (5) years in admissions, student services, enrollment services, or business operations environment. Two (2) years supervisory or leadership experience. Experience with administrative systems or databases in education or related business environment i.e. higher education contact management or recordkeeping software. Experience mining and utilizing data from enterprise-wide database systems. Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.
Preferred Qualifications  | Master’s degree, preferably in public affairs, education, business administration, marketing, communications or related field. Two (2) years’ experience supervising and managing the admissions recruitment cycle and student enrollment. Experience in higher education admissions, recruiting or related area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)  | Excellent interpersonal skills, “Customer Focus” attitude, and ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community to achieve CSU goals and objectives. Strong knowledge of recruitment, enrollment, communication, and marketing practices and trends in higher education. Skilled in project management, problem-solving, decision-making, analysis, communication, follow-through, influence, and persuasion. The ability to function as systems thinker and be solution-minded with a global perspective. Ability to manage a large-scale project to completion on deadline. Ability to provide leadership, oversight and management of admission recruitment cycle and graduate student enrollment. Ability to take ownership of projects, anticipate department needs and develop appropriate responses, meet deadlines, attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and be a quick and continuous learner. Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and respond to changing circumstances. Ability to track, manage, report and analyze data. Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to make effective presentations, have strong public speaking skills, and ability to drive change and effectively communicate change. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint.
