Recruitment Specialist Full Description

Job Summary
The Recruitment Specialist for the College of Health and Human Sciences will work with the Director of Recruitment to administer, conduct, and evaluate recruitment plans and programs.
 
Responsibilities Include:
  • Facilitate the effective recruitment of prospective students.
  • Counsel prospective students in the college search and selection process.
  • Represent the university and College of Health and Human Sciences at high schools, college fairs, college and admissions receptions, and other outreach events.
  • May give presentations to large and small audiences, both on campus and across the state.
  • Participate in the admissions eligibility determination process.
  • Answer a wide variety of inquiries from prospective and admitted students, parents, and other constituent groups.

Required:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Two years of experience in admissions, college student recruitment, or related field.
 
Skills Needed:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and parents.
  • Basic skills in Outlook, World, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with social media and publication software.
  • Ability to problem-solve and utilize campus resources for individuals and groups.
  • Willingness to work in a changing environment.
  • Knowledge of programs and majors at Purdue University.
 
What is Helpful:
  • Knowledge of undergraduate student recruitment and marketing.
