About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven sales leader for the Americas to lead and manage a high-performance sales team. This senior role will focus on developing and executing sales plans, setting ambitious sales targets, and ensuring the team meets or exceeds these goals. This person will collaborate closely with Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams to drive revenue growth and expand market share across the Americas. The Regional Sales Director will report to the Life Sciences VP of Sales, Academic and Government (A&G) Markets. Our core Life Science Solutions/Products are Reaxys, Embase, and EmBiology.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, and mentor top talent, ensuring the team is aligned with our sales objectives.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aimed at driving revenue growth and market expansion for our solutions.
  • Consistently meet and exceed team revenue targets through effective leadership and strategic planning.
  • Establish clear sales goals, measurements, and performance metrics to track progress.
  • Regularly communicate updates and progress against the sales strategy to stakeholders.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews to monitor and report on team and individual performance through effective pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement in sales processes.
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements in sales efficiency and productivity, implementing best practices to optimize team performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with Solution Selling teams, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams to build and implement cohesive Go to Market strategies.
  • Enhance innovation and effectiveness through collaborative efforts, leading to better outcomes for customers and the organization.

Requirements
  • Have a proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, preferably in the technology or analytics sector.
  • Display an exceptional track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Have exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
  • Have data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and make informed decisions.

The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for NYC:$116,900.00 - $217,200.00This is a sales job which may be eligible for a sales incentive or commission plan.
