Regional Site Manager Full Description

Reporting to the Regional Director of Culture,  the Regional Site Manager (RSM) coordinates programming for the three schools in Rocketship DC’s portfolio. The RSM will manage all aspects of extended learning programs including but not limited to ensuring extended learning programming is carried out with fidelity,  academic tutoring, sports and other enrichment activities, wellness experiences, and summer programming. This encompasses coordinating planning efforts and aligning strategies with other departments. The RSM will manage partnerships with service providers and senior management within RPS, supervise programs during implementation, manage and report on grants associated with extended learning, and be responsible for the oversight of all associated compliance measures. 

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with the OSSE and programmatic goals
  • Facilitate Extended learning programming in relationship with site directors and group leads
  • Spearhead meal and other compliance efforts associated with any grants and/or local regulations driving the articulation of extended learning programming 
  • In coordination with the Executive Director and Regional Leadership, develop an academic strategy for each program including short-term & long-term goals, learning objectives and benchmarks to achieve successful program outcomes 
  • In coordination with finance, engage in regular discussions about the annual extended learning budget to support each program and align all programs to the region’s achievement goals 
  • Supervise and evaluate staff responsible for program execution of all extended learning programs 
  • Develop a program evaluation framework, in collaboration with internal partners and external providers, to assess and identify areas of strengths and supports to ensure continuous improvement for all programs 
  • Develop funding proposals to maintain continuous delivery of services 
  • Monitor metrics and report out on existing grants 
  • Guide school leaders through extended learning planning processes as necessary ● Monitor quality of program implementation 
  • Develop, communicate and refine processes for planning and implementation of all extended learning programs 
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of programs ● Coordinate the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency 
  • Provide program and financial reports to Director of Student Services after program completion 

Deliverables
  • Program strategy and annual project plan aligned with the organization’s vision and goals, including operating budget for each program 
  • Program and financial executive reports and updates to organizational leadership 
  • Reports and updates to private funders and other partners 
  • Processes and structures for planning and implementation of all extended learning programs 1
  • Best practices and lessons learned regarding planning and implementation of all extended learning programs 
  • Report on evaluation findings and recommendations for program improvement to organizational leadership 
  • Presentations to the senior leadership team on program planning, program status, final report and others as requested. 

Qualifications
  •  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Masters degree or equivalent, preferred) 
  • 2 or more years of experience in a related field 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a coordinator/manager role 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with partners to meet the goals of Rocketship initiatives ● Strong presentation skills and facilitation skills 
  • Interpersonal skills to work with principals, teachers and network superintendents to clearly communicate and implement district wide instructional plan 
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically to create school change while considering the needs of all stakeholders 
  • Demonstrated ability to consider multiple perspectives, synthesize information and draw conclusions to support school-wide student improvement 
  • Excellent technological skills to create efficient systems for communication 
  • Experience analyzing data and using data to drive instructional plans 
  • Exemplary communication and organizational skills 
  • Experience with or Interest in grant and budget management
