Research Assistant Full Description

Overview: 
This study investigates whether mindfulness practices led by teachers can help reduce educator stress and enhance student prosocial behavior.
This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in mindfulness, education, psychology, or research. Responsibilities: 
  • Travel to assigned school sites to conduct fidelity checks in classrooms during school hours (3x per week per teacher).
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Principal Investigator (PI).
  • Maintain clear, organized records of observations and findings.
  • Participate in training sessions on mindfulness and fidelity check procedures.
  • Estimated time commitment: 5–10 hours/week, depending on teacher participation.
  • Commute time is compensated up to 10 miles daily. 
  • No prior research experience required, but preferred—training provided.
  • Opportunity to contribute as a co-author on future publications.
 Qualifications: 
  • Must have access to a reliable transportation and be willing to commute to schools in the Salt Lake City and Jordan School Districts.
  • Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

 Advertised Salary: $20 per Hour ADA:
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
