The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
 
Position Summary
This position will support the department by providing assistance for epidemiologic research studies. The Research Assistant (RA) will work with the principal investigator, research coordinator, data manager/analyst, information technologist, and biostatistician to perform data entry and statistical analysis. The RA will review, and aggregate data abstractions provided by the department's clinical data navigator. The RA will review the electronic medical records of study subjects, extract and enter data, and assist with the creation and completion of shell tables for publications. The RA will attend weekly meetings with the local team and twice monthly meetings with the study sponsor.

Responsibilities
  • Work with PI and RC to implement the research study protocol, reporting directly to the PI.
  • Participate in creation of the study database.

  • Perform descriptive statistics, e.g., proportions, means, medians.
  • Assist statistician with analysis of population-based incidence rates and infection rate ratios.

  • Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least one and one-half years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience. Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in public health and at least one year of experience.
