Highlights

Develop and implement security strategies and cybersecurity plans aligned with evolving threats and business needs.

Conduct gap analyses and ensure compliance with standards including NIST 800-171, CMMC, HIPAA, GDPR, FISMA, and university frameworks.

Perform IT risk assessments, application security reviews, vendor security assessments, and audit coordination.

Lead and advise university committees on information security policies, governance, and standards.

Promote information security awareness and training campus-wide.

Provide leadership on the Secure Research Environment (SeRE) for protecting sensitive research data.

Collaborate closely with OneIT, Research Security team, and research administration offices to align technology solutions with compliance requirements.

Requires a bachelor's degree plus two years of related experience or equivalent combination.

Preferred qualifications include CISSP or GIAC certifications and experience with EDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM (e.g., Splunk), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and security risk assessments.
