Job Summary | The Markey Cancer Center is recruiting a Research Information Security Lead to adopt, implement, and operationalize the NIST Cybersecurity Framework for our organization. This position is a senior technical member of the Markey Cancer Center Informatics team and works closely with the Cancer Center, UK Healthcare, campus IT, and others to develop and implement a comprehensive information security program. This position will serve as our organization’s information security officer and be responsible for oversight and technical leadership of information security policy development, operations, vulnerability management, testing and validation, certification, incident responses, and cloud security management. Ideal candidates will have first-hand experience authoring documentation, implementing controls, and operationalizing one of the HIPAA-aware information security frameworks.
