 Position Details 
Advertising/Posting Title  | Research Project Assistant
Posting Summary  | Oversee the day-to-day implementation of a NIH-funded research study evaluating the efficacy of a novel telemedicine-delivered PE protocol for improving therapy attendance and PTSD symptoms in individuals with OUD. Responsible for participant recruitment, scheduling and conducting intake and follow-up assessments and study visits via telemedicine, obtaining subject consents via REDCAP, and coordinating and conducting the urine toxicology testing via telemedicine. Uphold fiscal responsibilities related to participant compensation and the purchasing of study-related equipment and supplies. Enter and manage all data collected during the study using REDCap and Access under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and biostatistician. In addition to entering and maintaining data, this work will involve maintaining files and records, using discretion regarding sensitive information, and maintaining confidentiality within the framework of the University guidelines. Assist as needed with IRB-approved protocols and the preparation of progress reports, presentations and manuscripts related to the study.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)  | Bachelor degree in psychology, social work or medical areas or a related field and one year of experience required.Effective organizational skills and the ability to adhere to study protocols required.Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications required.Comfort in working with complex populations and ability to maintain a thoughtful and respectful interaction style with participants required.

Desirable Qualifications  | Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and experience with data entry, data management and graphing highly desirable.Experience with clinical populations desired.Experience in research and specific experience with behavioral treatments or study management desirable.

Anticipated Pay Range  | $23.00 - $27.00/hour
Other Information  | A 120-day probationary period is required.

Special Conditions  | Bargaining unit position, Contingent on continued funding, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
