The Research Scientist will support research, program development, and dissemination activities focused on engineering education and higher education. This position will contribute to scholarly projects through data collection and analysis, literature reviews, research coordination, and preparation of research outputs, including reports, presentations, and publications.

The Research Scientist will collaborate with faculty, researchers, and educational partners to advance initiatives aligned with the department’s instructional mission. This role provides opportunities to develop research expertise while contributing to innovative approaches in engineering education, student learning, and educational improvement.

Required:
PhD in Engineering Education or a closely related field, demonstrated experience conducting independent and collaborative research, record of scholarly dissemination through conference presentations, articles, proceedings, publications, technical reports, or related research products, experience designing, implementing, and evaluating educational and professional development programs, knowledge of qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-methods research methodologies, strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously, excellent written and oral communication skills, experience mentoring students, postdoctoral scholars, or early-career professionals, ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners, experience developing workshops, training programs, or instructional materials, capacity to seek and support externally funded research and partnership opportunities.

Desired:
Experience leading, developing, and conducting faculty development, leadership development, or career readiness programming and research, experience working on grant-funded research projects and with multidisciplinary teams, college-level teaching, guest lecturing, or curriculum development experience, expertise in critical consciousness, inclusive educational practices, or professional identity development, experience translating research findings into educational practice and organizational improvement.
