About the Opportunity

The Ellucian Sales Development Rep will serve as part of our team calling into Higher Education Organizations. We are looking for entrepreneurs that bring a high level of energy, are driven, dedicated, problem solver and relationship builder and are interested in providing solutions to improve Higher Education. As an SDR, you will be responsible for opportunity management and the generation of leads to support the sales team. You will engage with potential customers, understand their needs, and effectively communicate the value of the company's products or services.
Where you will make an impact
  • You will be a key player in Ellucian's field sales team to drive expansion of current enterprise accounts.
  • Learn and demonstrate how to manage sales through good forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning.
  • Develop the skills needed to employ effective selling strategies to successfully position Ellucian as a viable choice for the customer's needs.
  • Conduct research on potential leads, employing demand generation tactics and developing outreach strategies to effectively engage prospects.
  • Establish strong relationships based on knowledge of customer requirements and commitment to value.
  • Coordinate meetings or demos between qualified prospects and the sales team, ensuring a seamless handover within the pipeline.
  • Actively understand each customer's technology footprint, strategic growth plans, technology strategy and competitive landscape.
  • Review public information (e.g. new executive appointments, earnings statements, press releases) for the company and its competitors to remain updated on key industry trends and issues impacting the prospect.
  • Participate in sales meeting and provide feedback on lead quality and outreach strategies
  • Meet or exceed assigned quotas for qualified leads, sales opportunities, and revenue generation.
  • Drive complex sales cycles orchestrating internal resources of pre-sales, proposals, contacts, inside sales, marketing and sales support.
  • Provide support to the field sales team to ensure internal processes are advancing.
