How can you make an impact?
McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational resources, is looking for a Senior Academic Designer who specializes in Dual Literacy TK-8. Senior Academic Designers are content and curriculum experts. They assemble high-quality content based on specific product requirements for programs and understand the solution design. They collaborate with the Academic Design Director and Academic Design Managers to help develop the solution design (both conceptualization and implementation). This is a project status position.
This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. This is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of 09/30/2027.
What you will be doing:
- Plan and develop culturally responsive, relevant, and sustaining content (including learning objectives, content, activities, and instructional supports) for teacher and student materials — including print, digital, and media projects.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of elementary and middle school (TK-8) pedagogy and Dual Literacy instructional materials.
- Produce accurate, error-free, high-quality products that meet curriculum standards and market requirements and display appropriate content, reading level, grammar, and style.
- Conduct quality assurance testing of print and digital assets within a variety of authoring tools, digital platforms, and applications.
- Communicate with fellow team members about project progress and develop solutions to address issues.
- Correlate educational materials to national and state standards and frameworks.
- Work closely with Academic Design Managers and Senior Manager to assemble high-quality digital and print content based on specific product requirements for programs and understand the solution design.
We're looking for someone with:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Elementary Education or Spanish Language Arts Education, with native Spanish-speaking ability highly preferred.
- 4-6 years of elementary product development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Spanish Language Arts standards and the ability to develop robust print and digital learning experiences that align with curriculum standards, market requirements, and classroom needs.
- Experience creating, visualizing, and laying out content across various delivery formats and classroom settings, including primary source integration, map-based activities, and inquiry-based learning experiences.
- Detail-oriented and skilled in writing and editing a variety of digital and print materials accurately and efficiently, with experience using digital curriculum development tools, digital authoring platforms, and content management systems preferred.
- Strong communicator and collaborative team member who can effectively communicate project progress, identify and resolve issues, and work cross-functionally with Marketing, Production, Design, and Manufacturing teams to meet project schedules, market requirements, and goals.
- Highly productive and adaptable, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, multitask, manage competing deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.

The pay range for this position is between $62,000 - $75,000 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Additionally, a full range of medical and/or other benefits may be provided, depending on the position offered. Click
