This role independently manages student services for the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, overseeing academic and administrative program aspects, advising students and faculty, handling student affairs, administering funds, and supporting department communications and special projects.

Manage all academic, co-curricular, and administrative aspects of graduate program management within the Department of Materials Science and Engineering.
Advise students and faculty on academic progress, admissions, university policies, and specialized program issues.
Administer funds related to student programs and support department social media initiatives.
Coordinate graduate student services from orientation through graduation, including recruitment, admissions, and advising.
Conduct accreditation review processes for ABET and WASC within the department.
Required skills include experience with Graduate Database, SLATE, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and familiarity with university rules, FERPA, and student immigration issues.
Bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of graduate student advising experience at MS or PhD level required.
Preferred experience includes familiarity with diverse student funding sources.
Compensation ranges from $26.53-$31.13/hour for Academic Graduate Coordinator to $5,025-$5,933/month for Senior Academic Graduate Coordinator.
Reports to the Chief Administrative Officer and collaborates closely with faculty, staff, and campus departments.
