Senior Accountant

Location:

Salary range:
$90,000 - $100,000

Summary:
Primarily responsible for the company’s day-to-day accounting activities including account reconciliations, posting required journal entries, bank reconciliations, filing sales and use tax returns, managing deferred revenue, and generating financial statements.

This position also provides support to management in identifying opportunities for savings and revenue growth. A variety of financial and sales support projects are also handled by this position, as assigned by the Controller.

The Senior Accountant is the primary accountant for the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts

• Reconcile all bank accounts

• Prepare required journal entries

• Calculate, prepare, and file sales tax returns in a variety of states

• Register the company in states where the company develops nexus

• Generate financial statements and identify/investigate unusual variances

• Prepare supplemental monthly financial reports

• Maintain Advanced Revenue Management module to ensure deferred revenue is booked correctly

• Cross-train with others in the accounting department and assist in other areas when deemed necessary

Accountabilities:

• Sales tax filings are accurate and timely

• Financial statements are presented free from error and are timely

• Payroll is processed with a keen attention to detail

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred

• 5-7 Years of accounting experience

• Experience with NetSuite is a plus

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to anticipate and solve problems

• Strong motivation, high energy and ability to work independently or with a team

• Ability to multi-task
