Job Summary 
Develops and manages a recruitment territory plan to work as a team to achieve enrollment goals for Cleveland State University (CSU). Develops and coordinates advance preparation and follow-up for recruiting sessions and following each recruitment trip. Represents and promotes CSU to prospective students and families from first recruitment contact to enrollment. Accurately portrays and promotes CSU at college fairs, community colleges, and community events. Maintains records and prepares and hoc and periodic reports. Works a flexible schedule including travel off-campus, evening, and weekends. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications 
Bachelor’s degree preferably in higher education, business, communications, or related field. Three (3) years of experience in high school or higher education admissions recruitment or counseling, college student activities, territory and prospect management, marketing, sales, or public relations. Experience with public speaking. Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU’s Motor Vehicle Policy.

Preferred Qualifications  | Master’s degree in higher education, business, communications, or related field. Experience as an admissions counselor or recruiter at a public research university. Experience using social media and networked communications and customer management relations software. Experience working with diverse student populations, which may include low-income, first generation, geographic regions, ethnic groups, high school, and non-traditional students.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)  | Experience exercising initiative, decision-making, and effective organization of time and tasks including the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient written and verbal communication skills, the ability to make effective presentations, and have strong public speaking skills. Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal skills and have a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and work as an individual contributor and an effective team player, in addition to being highly organized, self-directed, and forward-thinking. Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and tackle emergencies and difficult situations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. Ability to travel frequently and work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
