General SummaryResolve complex issues related to processing individual undergraduate and graduate applications for admission, including applications for international students, utilizing independent judgment and knowledge of related policies and procedures. Provide expertise to admissions processors, transcript evaluators and academic departments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Perform liaison function with academic departments and outside agencies to provide information, resolve problems and interpret University admissions policies and procedures.Make freshman and graduate admission decisions, referring applications to counseling staff for additional review or to academic departments for degree admission consideration as appropriate.Provide policy and status information to prospective students, current students, high school guidance counselors, college records office, applicant references, university faculty and staff.Review and process Banner audit reports and maintain integrity of admissions on-line data.Review and process requests to delete student data or records from the Banner student information system.Participate in training processing and transcript evaluation staff on admissions policies and procedures and processing of applications and information requests.Assist senior management in reviewing and formulating new policies and procedures.Evaluate transcripts.Perform data entry of applications, supporting documents and information requests into Banner.Calculate high school and college grade point averages.Adhere to any and all NCAA, Mid-American Conference and Eastern Michigan University policies, rules, regulations, and operational procedures.Perform related departmental duties, as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read, write, interpret instructions, and perform basic arithmetic calculations, typically acquired through the completion of a high school education is necessary.Knowledge of the University's admissions policies and procedures for graduate, undergraduate, and international students is necessary.One year of experience as an Admissions Processor is required.Three years of related clerical experience in an automated on-line high volume processing area, involving high levels of documentation review, data validation, problem resolution and customer service contact is necessary.Experience with data entry in on-line integrated computer systems and typing ability with knowledge of keyboard are necessary.Demonstrated leadership, teamwork experience and organizational skills are necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent oral communication skills are desirable.A specific typing speed may be required depending on department needs and it should be noted at time of posting.Knowledge of the University's Red Flags Rule and Identify Theft Prevention Policy and Procedure.
